Job Description
Project Team Discipline Lead
- Provide input and support to Project Manager during data centre development.
- Coordinate with GC, Vendors, Commissioning, and Design Team for project completion.
- Regularly meet with stakeholders to discuss project progress and issues.
- Track, Prepare, and Report weekly on project progress, risk, schedule, cost. Oversee project team to meet deadlines.
- Ensure project scope adheres to Safety Standards. Review job plans for high-risk areas.
- Review project documents for compliance with company standards.
- Identify and resolve project issues and risks. Provide technical expertise for problem-solving.
- Manage Discipline Scope Change Process and documentation. Provide Project Procurement Technical Support.
- Oversee Discipline installation Q&A assurance, Testing, and Commissioning Activities.
- Coordinate and Lead Project Closeout activities; Punch listing, Documentation, System Handover.
- Conduct project meetings and site visits.
- Manage Design & Construction vendors and Gas Plant Supplier to ensure quality and deadline adherence.
- Ensure successful facility commissioning and turnover process focusing on end user needs.
- Manage review and approval of commissioning files for systems & equipment.
- Manage Site acceptance testing (SAT) witness and certification process.
- Coordinate with Construction manager(s), Engineers, Project Manager, and GC for Inspection and documentation.
- Coordinate GC attendance schedule for critical equipment and system packages.
- Develop relationships with internal and external customers and organizations.
- Coordinate Mechanical-related BIM model and inspect.

- Control schedule and quality of discipline BIM model, reviewing for clash and space management issues.
- Coordinate BIM models to identify clashes with other disciplines, consolidating client queries and coordinating with GC for issue resolution.
- Ensure all issues are resolved before GC produces shop drawings, aligning them with the BIM model and utilizing BIM models for constructability studies.
- Incorporate BDC operations team input for space management and EHS team input for identifying issues.
- Ensure construction consistency with as-built model and GC compliance with required BDC parameters.
Soft Skills- Communication: Effectively communicate with stakeholders to convey information, answer questions, and resolve issues.
- Organization: Maintain organization to streamline information access for Project Manager efficiency.
- Time management: Ensure tasks are completed within budget and on time.
- Problem-solving: Identify and resolve potential project issues, developing solutions as needed.
- Leadership: Utilize leadership skills to facilitate teamwork for timely, within-budget project completion.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required, Master's Degree desired.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering focusing on Data Centre or Hi-Tech Mechanical Systems Design and Construction, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Ability to prioritize, schedule workload, and manage multiple tasks concurrently, with strong organizational skills and a service-oriented attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with English-speaking engineers.
- Self-motivated worker with familiarity in Data Centre facilities systems and power supply infrastructure.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Project, with a thorough understanding of building codes and standards.
